
Indian American community members in New York, who are supporters of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, celebrated the Bharatiya Janata Party’s victory in India in the recent state assembly elections. The event took place December 7, 2023, and was hosted by The American Indian Public Affairs Committee.

Sewhani, adding, “The credit for this victory goes to our yashasvi Prime Minister Narendra Modiji. The strategy developed by his team Home Minister Amitji Shah and Party President J.P. Naddaji decimated the opposition.” He called the results a reflection of the mood in the country, and of how India is today the 5th largest economy in the world.

Others present at the event who also addressed the gathering, included Dr. Narinder Kukar, Chintu Patel, Dr. Dipak Nandi, Sunil Hali, Amba Sharma, Dr. Urmilesh Arya, Satvinder Satta, Kulbir Singh, Indu Jaiswal, Anju Sharma, Pinki Jaggi, Dr. Pushp Bhansali, Dr. Sanil Sarkar.
Despite it being a Thursday, a working day, a “large crowd” attended the event, a press release said. Women outnumbered men at the celebrations, organizers said, because according to them PM Modi had “done so much for women’s empowerment.”
