
A community leader in the South Asian community of tri-state, passed away and is being missed for his contributions.
Mohammad Hussain who was engaged with the South Asian community and an avid cricket enthusiast, passed away, according to an X post from NYPD officer Adeel Rana.
Rana posted on his X account on Feb. 10, 2025, about the loss of Hussain.
“Extremely saddened by the passing of my good friend Mohammad Hussain, a true pioneer in our community, especially in #cricket He was instrumental in helping me and the #NYPD establish a youth cricket league in 2007. His impact will never be forgotten #RestInPeace #GodBless you.”
Rana is the President of @NYPDMuslim, representing about 3,000 Muslims in law enforcement.
