United States Vice President J.D. Vance visited the Taj Mahal April 24, with his wife Usha and their three children.

“Today I visited the Taj Mahal with Usha and the kids. It’s a beautiful historic site, and I’m grateful for the warm welcome we received there!” the Vice President tweeted on X, posting three pictures of a sunny day with the majestic monument in the backdrop.

Among the images posted was one of the family’s arrival at Agra.
The Vances’ visit is taking place in the midst of a terror attack on tourists in Kashmir that killed more than 25 people April 22, and heightening of tensions between India and Pakistan.
Before the terror attack, the Vice President and his family visited Akshardham temple in Delhi, where they also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and discussed trade issues, and regional and global tensions. The family also traveled to Jaipur where J.D. Vance addressed a conference.
