
Bensenville, IL- United Senior Pariwar Chicago, (USPC), celebrated its 16th Anniversary on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Manav Seva Mandir, Bensenville, IL.
The Chief Guest was Consul from the Consulate General of India, Chicago, Sanjeev Kumar Pal, and Guest of Honor was Mafat Patel, chairman of Board of Trustees and owner of Patel Brothers.
Other special guests included Dr. Bharat Barai (Trustee), Dr. Dhiren Mistry (Trustee), Ramanlal A. Patel (Former President of USPC), Narasinh Patel (Former President of Indian Seniors of Chicago MSM), Dilip Patel (President of Indian Seniors of Chicago), Hema Shastri (President of Dev Darshan Senior Group), Bhailal Patel (Former President of FIA and Executive Vice President Parikh Worldwide Media), Dahya Prajapati (Secretary of FSC), Vandana Jhingan (TV Asia), Amar Upadhyay (Secretary of OFBJP), and community leader Usha Kamaria.

The birthday for members born in June was celebrated, followed by a ceremonial lamp lighting performed by Consul Pal, Mafat Patel, Dr. Barai, Dr. Dhiren Mistry, Ex-President Ramanlal Patel, Virendra Patel (President of USPC), Rohit Joshi (Vice President of USPC), Ramesh Chokshi (Secretary of USPC), and Kirit Pandya (Treasurer of USPC). Acharya Rohit Joshi offered blessings with a traditional Hindu prayer.
Chokshi delivered a welcome speech and invited Rohit Joshi to introduce the chief guest and guest of honor, who then shared a few words with the audience. Consul Pal expressed his appreciation for the invitation and extended best wishes on behalf of the Consulate General of India, Chicago. Chairman Mafat Patel encouraged the continuation of such programs; Dr. Barai offered assistance to any senior needing guidance for trips to Rama Mandir in India, and Dr. Narasihn Patel emphasized the importance of happiness and health and a worry-free lifestyle.

President Virendra Patel outlined the future goals of USPC, highlighting the need for emotional support within the community. USPC also recognized the founders of the senior group, Hari Thakkar, Raman S. Patel, and Kanu H. Patel, with Sanman Patra awards.
The evening featured a musical program by renowned Chicago artists Rajesh Chalam, Nipa Shah, Pavitra Anand, with music composed by Hitesh Master, Anand Master, Richard Krischian, and Gopal Shah.
A highlight was Hitesh Master’s performance of “O Duniya Ke Rakhwale” from the movie Baiju Bawra, which delighted the audience. Secretary Ramesh Chokshi’s enactment of movie star Bharat Bhushan and President Virendra Patel’s gesture of admiration added to the moment’s significance. Hitesh Master was honored with a shawl, receiving a standing ovation from the audience.
Kirit Pandya concluded the event with a vote of thanks to all guests, vendors, sponsors, artists, executive committee members, volunteers, and members. The meal was catered by Uru Swati Restaurant of Devon, Chicago.
