
A pre-opening event was held on May 15, 2022, at the new and first-of-its-kind Sri Sai Balaji Temple being constructed at Monroe, New Jersey.
The event was attended by diverse Hindu devotees whose ancestry is from different states in India.
The Temple’s “primary objective is to integrate North and South Indian Hindu traditions into one Sanatam Dharma under the inspiring leadership of Shri Suryanarayana Maddula and Dr Pankaj Mohan along with Rama Krishna ji and Ramesh ji,” a press release from organizers said.
The Phase 1 of the Temple will be initiated following Pran Pratistha in the week of June 13, with a focus on cultural training for kids and spiritual learning for adults. This Phase 1 temple has small idols in the main hall, and the building has 10 classrooms for cultural learning classes and events, and large spaces for pravachans and bhajans. There is also a kitchen and a cafeteria.

Phase 2 of the Temple will be a 25-foot tall Lord Hanuman idol, that connects this center of cultural learning to the larger Hindu Temple (Phase 3).

Phase 3 of the Temple would make it one of the largest Hindu temples in the state of New Jersey with all Idols including a unique integration of Sri Vidya, the press release said.
