The Gujarati Samaj Of Chicago’ celebrated Diwali 2022, at a gala banquet in Willow brook

IL, Oct. 14, 2022. More then 900 members attended the event, according to attendee Jayanti Oza.

The President of GSC Bhavesh Shah and GSC Advisory Council Chairman Suryakant Patel welcomed all those present and wished them a happy Diwali and a prosperous new year. E

The Chief Guest was Dr. Bharatbhai Barai and his wife Panna Barai who extended Diwali greetings and invoked the teaching of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakkam or the World is One.

The lamplighting ceremony was conducted by Bharti Desai, Urvashi Patel, and Mauli and Bhavesh Shah

The ‘RangRasiya” group from India entertained the crowd.

At the end of the program, the newly elected officials of GSC were announced for the year 2022-2023.

They include President- Dakshesh Modi, Vice President- Vatsal Shah, General Secretary- Bhavita Sheth, Joint General Secretary- Yatinkumar Patel, Treasurer- Nimesh Shah, Joint Treasurer- Amit Desai, Cultural Secretary- Chanda Shah, Joint Cultural Secretary- Payal Shah.

The Board of Directors includes Kamlesh Shah, Kamal Shah, Jayshree Thakkar, Pankaj Raval, Lahar Shah, Arvind Patel, Santosh B. Gor, Dhitu Bhagwaker.
