The Indian Consulate in New York held an event celebrating Gandhi Jayanti, Oct. 2, 2021, highlighting Gandhiji’s spiritual mentor Shrimad Rajchandraji, on whose teachings a book is to be released globally by Harper Collins India on Oct. 21

Shrimad Rajchandraji composed the Atmasiddhi Shastra — a142-verse magnum opus on the six spiritual truths of the soul and the path to self-discovery. Now the Atmasiddhi Shastra has been brought out with a complete commentary by Pujya Gurudevshri Rakeshji, renowned spiritual leader and founder of Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur.

At the Indian Consulate event, Consul General Randhir Jaiswal and Padma Shri Dr. Sudhir Parikh, chairman of Parikh Worldwide Media and ITV Gold were called on stage and recognized.

A video featuring the life of Mahatma Gandhi was played at the event. It linked Gandhi’s life and writings to that of Shrimad Rajchandra — his frequent references linking the sage’s philosophy to the practices he followed on the ground such as non-violence, celibacy, uplifting the poor, freedom, etc.

Among the speakers at the Consulate event were Mitesh Lakhani, Anuja Shah, Dr. Neeta Jain and others. Lakhani and Shah spoke about Shrimad Rajchandra and how he influenced Gandhi.

One of the younger speakers was Ayushi Doshi who said the writings of Rajchandraji and Gandhi remain valid today, and change the way people live in unfathomable ways.
“Through Shri Atmasiddhi Shastra, Shrimad Rajchandraji has accomplished the laudable task of disseminating the spiritual path to the world. Humanity is grateful to Him for this exceptional text, which has emerged from the depths of His experience,” Pujya Rakeshji is quoted saying about Shrimad Rajchandraji, in the Harper Collins press release.

The commentary by Rakeshji ‘has simplified the essence embedded within every verse of Atmasiddhi Shastra for seekers around the world,’ Harper Collins said, adding that it provides a “step-by-step guide to self-realisation written with great compassion and vision.”
The book is now available for pre-orders on Amazon and other leading e-commerce platforms. Owing to the massive demand from readers worldwide, a dedicated website for the book—www.atmasiddhishastra.com—was also launched, Harper Collins said in its press release.
