India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent his best wishes to the high-profile wedding of Dr. Ravi Parikh to Dr. Priyanka Chilakamarri on May 23, 2021, at The Legacy Castle in Pompton Plains, N.J.
Dr. Ravi Parikh is the son of Dr. Sudha Parikh and Padma Shri Dr. Sudhir Parikh, chairman of Parikh Worldwide Media and ITV Gold. Dr. Priyanka Chilakamarri is the daughter of Ravi Kumar and Sunitha Chilakamarri. (Guests attending were either fully vaccinated or took Covid-19 tests within three days of the wedding.)
“As they start this new phase of their lives, I pray that this journey is filled with prosperity and wonderful shared experiences,” Prime Minister Modi said.
Others who sent good wishes were India’s Home Minister Amit Shah, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, and India’s U.S. Ambassador Taranjit Singh Sandhu.
Dr. Ravi Parikh is an expert on the treatment of retinal diseases in New York, and a humanitarian who works with non-governmental organizations in South Asia and in the U.S.
Dr. Priyanka Chilakamarri is a neurologist in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She earned her medical degree from The Robert Larner College of Medicine at The University of Vermont.
