
Dr. Chander Kapasi of Massachusetts was recently bestowed the Lifetime Achievement Award by her alma mater Lady Hardinge Medical College in India.
A lamplighting ceremony and presentation of the award were among the highlights of the alumni gathering.

Dr. Kapasi expressed her gratitude to her alma mater, and specifically Dr. Anita Nangia the president of Alumni Association, and also for the program hosted by the college.
She thanked numerous people including her daughter Sameera Kapasi Mahendru, and husband Dr. Onaly Kapasi. Others whom she thanked included Dr. Sweety Singh, Dr. Shashi Raheja, Dr. Usha Saha, and many past and current principals and all the dignitaries who attended the event.

She also congratulated Dr. Krishna Garg and Mr. Sehgal. Among others who were at the event were advocate Yoginder Pal Kapoor who came from Mandi, Dr. Mridula Anand Tandon daughter of Dr. Kapasi’s mentor Dr. Dharam Anand and president of Sakshi, Dr. Aruna Chhura Sareen, wife of Air Marshall Satish Sareen, her adopted son Mayank Goswami president of Cricket academy Jamoo , Drs. Brij & Sneha Agarwal, Dr. Kumkum Bhasin, president elect LHMCAANA, the Lady Hardinge alumni association of North America. She also thanked members and students who came and interacted with her at the event and showed her love and respect.
