One of the major Indian American community groups in Chicago, the Federation of Indian Associations (FIA), announced plans to hold ‘Star Awards Night’ with a focus on celebration of excellence across various categories, recognizing outstanding achievements in the community.
The event on August 16, 2024, the day after the official Independence Day of India, will include “a spectacular gala, filled with inspiring tributes, exceptional entertainment, and fine dining, as we highlight individuals and organizations that have made profound contributions in fields such as Best Community Service Organization, Entrepreneur of the Decade, Community Leader of the Year, Best Medical Professional, Fashion Icon, and more,” FIA-Chicago, said in a press release.
The star performer will be singer Sparsh Shah who will kickstart the opening of celebrations with patriotic songs. Sparsh Shah, born with Osteogenesis Imperfecta, is a singer, rapper, and Guinness World Record holder.
In addition, Jaya Prada, an Indian film celebrity from Bollywood will be part of these celebrations.
