“Chai Pe Charcha” with Vivek Tankha attracts corporate and community leaders to Edison forum

Edison, NJ – June 20, 2025 — More than 40 corporate and community leaders convened on June 19, 2025, in Edison, New Jersey, for an exclusive “Chai Pe Charcha” roundtable with Vivek Tankha, Senior Advocate at the Supreme Court of India and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha).

The gathering took place at the residence of Sandeep Sacheti and was organized by Anand Rai, a fellow alumnus of Christ Church School, where Tankha also studied. The discussion focused on how entrepreneurs and community leaders could strengthen India–U.S. cooperation through shared innovation, entrepreneurship, and public service.

During the event, Tankha offered ideas on using public platforms and professional networks to drive social impact. Recognized for his contributions to law, politics, and social service, Tankha shared insights from his journey, which is chronicled in the documentary, The Renaissance Man, which was part of the selection at the New York Asia Film Festival. It portrays Tankha’s multifaceted career and influence.

“Chai Pe Charcha” not only highlighted Tankha’s legacy but also emphasized the role of diaspora communities in shaping international dialogue. Tankha is also referred to as “The Renaissance Man” by Congress Party leader and author, Dr. Shashi Tharoor. Those attending the talk said they were inspired by Tankha’s ideas.
