Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care (SRLC) USA hosts fundraising gala in New York City

The Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care USA (SRLC-USA, @srlcusa.org), a non-profit organization, held a successful gala on May 8, attended by 300 guests, to support the upcoming Shrimad Rajchandra Sarvamangal University, an educational campus dedicated to bringing higher education to rural India.

“The event builds on the momentum of successful galas in Phoenix and Dallas, solidifying SRLC USA’s commitment to Educational Care, Health Care, and Humanitarian Care for the needy,” organizers said in a press release. Community leaders and philanthropists were among those present. A Candlelight Concert was among the highlights of the evening.

“We are deeply thankful for the unwavering support that fuels our mission, enabling us to open doors of opportunity for millions of children, youth, and women across the world,” President of SRLC-USA Snehal Shah is quoted saying in the press release.

The SRLS’s efforts are geared toward providing quality education to underserved tribal belts of rural Gujarat.

SRLC’s Educational Care initiatives aims at providing students in need with a holistic education – encompassing academics, value-based learning, emotional and social well-being, professional skills, physical wellness, spirituality, and more.

Trustee of SRLC-USA Dr. Chintan Mehta, , highlighted the organization’s efforts to bridge the learning gap for underserved youth, and SRLC’s “visionary” work which has included building hospitals, schools, and animal care programs.

The upcoming university for which the funds were raised, envisions an educational campuswhere students will be nurtured to bloom through bespoke, holistic learning, unlocking their latent potential,” the nonprofit said. These goals would be achieved in the following ways:

  •       Through the School of Science, School of Nursing & Allied Health Sciences, School of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, and additional institutions, this campus will offer multidisciplinary academic programs, interdisciplinary research, certificate courses, skill development programs, and more.
  •       State-of-the-art infrastructure, with labs, digital libraries, and recreational facilities.
  •       Supporting this holistic approach, the campus will also feature a student learning and resource center, outdoor and indoor sports complex, auditorium, open-air amphitheater, contemplation garden, student dormitories, and versatile spaces.

The SRLC is a global initiative with 206 centers across the world. The SRLC-USA, the US arm of the global entity, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization supporting projects in the United States, India, Africa, and other countries. SRLC has been granted ‘Special Consultative Status’ by the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN-ECOSOC) in acknowledgement of its charitable work.
