
Hundreds of devotees gathered in Parsippany, NJ, to take part in the religious ceremonies related to Sharad Purnima with Annakut Smruti, October 28, 2023, hosted by Yogi Divine Society observed Sharad Purnima with Annakut Smruti on what is considered an auspicious day by Hindus.

Yogi Divine Society is a Hindu spiritual and humanitarian charity organization with a vast network of centers and volunteers world-wide. Devotees believe in Lord Swaminarayan, and Yogi Divine Society serves the global community regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, or gender, according to its website.

YDS was founded in 1974 by its spiritual head His Divine Holiness Guru Hariprasad Swamiji and actively operating in over 500 centers world-wide in countries like India, USA, Canada, Australia, New-Zealand, United Kingdom, Germany, France, South Africa, Kenya.
The theme of this year’s Annakut was Hariprabodham Nagri, a veritable town with numerous services offered to devotees, on practical living, spiritual teaching, several cuisines being offered.
The organization defines its vision as being to “Serve the society by providing spiritual services, cultural training and other human services like health-care and educational activities on a secular basis to promote community development, family values enrichment, educational literacy, good-health and self-sufficiency and enable happy, peaceful and harmonious life.”
